DSC_0064

This tree at the last house at the point has been uneasily leaning against the house. It’s been temporarily secured with a chain but is still in danger of falling.

If there are any other trees out there please call 311 to report a dangerous or fallen tree.

Bus Shelter Destruction: Storm Edition

photo(6)

The criminal animals took advantage of the storm smashing 4 shelters on Gerritsen Avenue.

As you can see they used bricks and lawn decorations to smash the shelters.

Everyone who took the bus this morning in the rain thanks you for getting wet and cold.

Marine Park Devestated

Marine Park Storm
[Marine Park Devastation by Daniel McGowan]

Other than the Damage that Hit Gerritsen Beach, and other than Stewart Street which had 4 trees down when I was there, then a few more in the morning, the actual Marine Park was DEVASTATED by the storm.

There are somewhere around 50 trees down in and around Marine Park

Tremendous Storm! Tremendous Damage!

DSC_7272

There were roofs flying off, house siding flying everywhere, the water at the point was flowing onto the street, there was flooding everywhere, trees falling basically on every block, the Tamaqua started to lose docks.

IT’S CHAOS OUT THERE!

If you can’t tell from the pictures and video below, the current, the winds, and the waves were eroding the point and pushing the sand down creek. It created a sandbar all the way down to Dare Ct.

How did everyone fair without power? We hear the the Old Section came up hours before the New Section.

Check out the literal ton of pictures and video.
