The Cort Club Children’s Christmas Party, is an annual holiday party for children ages 10 and younger. This year it will be held from 1 p.m.. to 3 p.m. Saturday December 19th 2010 at the Cort Club (2648 Gerritsen Avenue).
The event is run by Murray and Jennifer Arvin who have been running the children’s party for an impressive 20+ years. The Cort Club itself has been running the event for at least 50+ years.

Gerritsen Beach paid their respects to those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 yesterday at Larry Veling Field. The memorial went well into the dark with everyone sharing stories, tears, and prayers.

Saturday, May 29th 2010 the Cort Club held their annual Memorial day block party. There were games and rides for the kids, lots of food and raffles. A good time was had by all.
The Cort Club celebrated it’s mother day with their annual “Mother of the Year” breakfast/brunch by honoring Theresa Samuelsen.
Theresa is a longtime Resurrection Womans Catholic Club member is now also the recently the President of the organization. Theresa is married to Bunky “Warren” for 54 years and has 5 children Joe, Warren, Theresa, Billy, and John and 7 grandchildren.
Memorial Day is rapidly approaching and that is going to mean lots of block parties!
One of the first and usually one of the better ones of the season is the Cort Club Memorial Day and Pinewood Derby Races Block Party. Save the date it’s going to be Saturday, May 29th 2010
