Brooklyn – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) is announcing plans to host his annual “Support Our Troops” rally on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in Marine Park, at Avenue S and East 33rd Street.

Residents of the community are invited to join with veterans and family members of active servicemen and women in sending a message of support to our troops both home and overseas. The event will feature inspirational speeches and a patriotic musical selection. American flags will be distributed to all those in attendance.

Senator Golden stated, “I wholeheartedly offer my continuing gratitude to our service men and women. We must continue to gather as a community so to recognize the sacrifices that have been made in the name of freedom and liberty.”
