    Years ago I umpired Little League All Star games in Gerritsen Beach and your teams always played hard and I remember one gentleman who I believe was a butcher by trade would come early , rake the field , water the field and took a lot of proide is making the field preparred for the game. I remember after the games he would have a barbeque with the other teams such as the latin Kings or Starrett city and the families of both teams would meet and talk. The parade after the storm proves the people of Gerritsen Beach will once again come back from hard times. allanfeinblum@aol.com
