Media Needs Assistance

Jim Hoffer from WABC-TV Channel 7 will be in Gerritsen Beach at the park where GB Cares is set up, Gerritsen Ave and Devon Ave tomorrow morning at 10 am. (Tuesday 11/27) He will be filming a national story on the need for immediate temporary housing for GB residents in Motor Homes and/or Trailers. Everyone in need of such assistance needs to personally be at this location at 10AM. Bring your children, your family members, your neighbors and your stories. This will be a wonderful opportunity to get our needs out to a national audience. Please come and tell everyone that you know to do so. If you can’t be here due to work then please try to find someone to represent your presence and need!

Great news! I hope FEMA sets up temporary housing/trailers for those in need. Thank You, Jim Hoffer and WABC-TV, for recognizing this need. FEMA set up trailer communities in Florida after Hurricanes Frances and Jean. They need to do the same for the families that are homeless in Gerritsen Beach and other areas of NYC. I emailed Senator Golden and asked for his assistance with motor homes/trailers in this area, but never heard back. Thanks for giving attention to this important, basic need.
