In time for the Gerritsen Beach & Marine Park 9/11 Ceremonies, the area around Larry Veling field has been spruced up.
Our area is holding two ceremonies to remember 9/11:
Marine Park at 6:00pm presented by Senator Golden
Gerritsen Beach at 7:00pm at Larry Veling Field

You may have missed it, but the call for family member(s) to place a rose at base of Memorial in honor of Mel Houston was made, and a rose was placed–along with the roses for all from Gerritsen Beach who lost their lives on 9/11.
