The Bantry Closed Set to Reopen as “The Gather Inn” Again

The Gather Inn Again

The Bantry Bar closed it’s doors this past weekend but enough but about them. The more exciting news is that it will be re opening March 17th as the The Gather Inn again. Acording to the facebook page the owners are Jaime and Anthony DeNardo. We wish them luck with this exciting news.

They are looking for pictures of the old gather inn. If anyone has please share on their Facebook page or send a copy to 2718 Gerritsen Avenue.

lipstick and rouge will not change things – the OWNERS of the building allowed vermin to rent and poison our neighborhood for almost a decade and collected the drug money as “rent” – all as the pillars of our community looked the other way while the ghetto was invited and welcomed with open arms, all because they are part of the clique – and now they are suppose to be the “saviors of our community” … really ??? stick with them and keep up the good work ..how many cop cars, ambulances and beatings have already occurred at our new establishment in less than one month, some afterhours??? Maybe you should ask … AFTER HOURS?? … 2am is the new Afterhours for new establishemnts in case you are not informed of the new laws …

Hey, I’m a tree hugger and I love a good bar! Sometimes I like to sit at the bar and talk about trees. Why are you trashing the tree huggers?

Thank you for everyone’s support and kind words. We know this new venture will be an asset to the community. We will be open this Friday and Saturday for St. Patrick’s Day. Once we finish our renovations and the kitchen opens we will have a grand opening. If anyone has old pictures of Gerritsen Beach, the original “Gather Inn”, Huskies or of the famous Rhino please send to gatherinnagain@gmail.com. We will be doing a 50/50 on Saturday. Money will be donated to “Tunnel to Towers Foundation” in support of a smart house that will be built in Gerritsen Beach for “SPC Bryan Dilberian, US Army”.

  • Agreed

  • Kelly D

So Kevin ,still telling people how it is,you should realize by now they don’t want to hear it even if it is the truth. For some reason when you or I post it they hit the Dislike like crazy. Well the Trailer Park mentality will continue,Know what they say ignorance is bliss.

That place needs to be totally renovated its still disgusting ! KNOCK IT DOWN ! Build something like the salty dog in bay ridge .some people just don’t understand things will always be the same in gb. How’s the beach bar owner doin amazin their still in business lol the place is a front for drugs and gambling lmfao

    • Anonymous

Wow! The Salty Dog. Nows there a name from the past. I haven’t been in there in 30 years. Glad to see it’s still around and doing well. The Gather Inn owners should talk to them, maybe the owners of The Salty Dog can give them some tips on running a real establishment. One suggestion I would give to the owners of The Gather Inn is to modernize the bar inside and out. Make it pleasant for the eyes and make people feel at home. If it looks like a dive, you’re only going to attract dirt.

  • Irish Kevin

Salty Dog from way back when.

  • Kelly D

It seems to me that the posts that don’t fit in to the lets call it the PC of GB get erassed. I guess a private site like this can sensor. It is to bad we can’t hear everyones opinion PC or Not. JMO!

    Some things never change

  • Hey Hey

I am excited to see that good people took over the bar.. The bantry was nothing but trouble and I know the new owners will not tolerate ther lowlife, scum that will try to weasel their way in. They are both family orientated and the new bar will be a nice addition to the beach.. Good Luck to Jaime and Anthony and I know you will be a huge success.. xoxo
