All Way Stops Signs Coming for Noel and Madoc Avenues
All way stop signs may be in the near future for Noel Avenue and Maddoc Avenue. Residents of Noel Avenue submitted petitions to CB15 requesting all way stop signs because of the speeding on Noel and Maddoc Avenues. A traffic study will be conducted shortly by DOT. This will be a good thing….. All of us drivers must now be aware of a new potential ticket…. Who has the right of way at a 4 way stop sign ? Some say "Who ever got there first" I usually go by "The person to your right actually has the right of way" Unless he gives you the OK to proceed first….

This is just absolutely ridiculous, why is everything being micromanaged by city officials? We've been handling busy in this neighborhood for what seems like ever as it is? The city seriously needs to look at the bigger picture. Granted there are many things that are out of control especially when it involves the driving in the neighborhood but as property owners and residents we need to start policing up our own. The more we cry for help the less personally involved we're going to be. WE all need to step up the game and start protecting what is ours a bit more. Preserve the quality of life that is here unlike any where else in the entire city. Alot of us like to keep things old fashioned and the way they used to be,however it is not the best strategy when combatting these issues. We need to tactically adjust with the times, adapt an overcome. I have a boss that tells me how to do my job, It really bothers me that on what appears to be a weekly basis now the city is telling me how to live,its madness. The neighborhood needs more support, teh more involved we are the less the city is. Next thing will be each 4 way intersection down here will have crosswalks and the cops handing out J-walking summons' when u don't obey..Lets fix the issues at hand now neighbors.

For all of the people who are yelling and screaming at the City for "micro-managing," this was a request from the people who live at or near the intersection.
And for the individual who thinks that "All-Way" stop signs mean you stop all the way: they are actually called 4-Way stop signs and are meant to stop all traffic from all points at an intersection. Meaning people driving on Seba will have to stop as well as the people driving on Noel.

Well under the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, the City has to at least do a study based on the CB's request.
I understand the frustration with Government interference, but this is a Federal mandate the City has to abide by.

One is needed at Fane and Florence…Fane CT side….it is short block and people dont even give it a thought…just drive right across the intersection…especailly if they dont live here and are coming from their boats!
