Vandals were caught on security camera defacing property on Gerritsen Avenue. They were marking up the newish buildings It appears as though they knew a camera was watching them, one looks right into the camera then puts his arms up to try and cover what the other person is doing (30 second mark).
The video does cut out a few times but stick with it and you will witness them marking up the building.
The building was cleaned the next day.

One vandal looks directly into the camera. Somebody should be able to ID him. It's disturbing that he does not appear to be bothered by the fact that he was caught on camera. They look like young teenagers and no one wants to see them arrested at this point but someone has to step up and contact the police or, at the very least, alert those morons to the fact that they have been "caught".

According to the law…the parents are not. Yes, they should have raised their children better, yes the parents should be ashamed but by 19 they should know better! And they may live on their own…unless you can identify them you cant say otherwise. Parents do need to stop enabling their children and stop the " not my child" epidemic, i agree. The clean off was possible because it was done with chalk. They did not come out of a local bar, but a local club. They are obviously headed south towards the Vollies hall, so there is a good chance they are the 19 or 20 year old jerks who also vandalized the GBVFD symbol. Maybe there is a connection between one of them and a person who is synonymous with the Vollies.

My good friend, Nancy Drew, reviewed the tape and she believes that they look like young teens. If the mutts that defaced the mural used spray paint then why make the connection that these two did it if you state that they used chalk in the video? Why didn't they just use spray paint again? WHO said it was chalk? Mrs Marple? Well she got every other thing wrong. Just because the property owner was a good citizen & cleaned it promptly does not mean it was chalk. Even if the grafitti was done with chalk does not make it "no big deal"…. It is a big deal. If these two morons wrote on your car in chalk I am sure you would not find it so innocent.
This is vandalism no matter how you look at it. As it turns out they are not teens but young men & they should be behaving better by now.
