Gerritsen Beach honored Memorial Day the only way it knows how. A street naming and a beautiful parade with three memorial stops.
The day started at Burnett Street and Whitney Avenue with a ceremony to “rename” Whitney Avenue Veterans Memorial Way. Then the parade went down Gerritsen Avenue stopped at St. James and then the Knights of Columbus.
