Whenever and wherever I saw Bob Rossi, I made a point of going to him. He was a magnet of gentility. Whether it meant crossing the avenue to the park side, where he usually walked his dog, or on his way home from his duties at Resurrection. His passing is that of a tree falling in the forest. Rest in peace, Bob….

Well said George. I will miss his lead at all the church functions. His beautiful voice that carried so well. His gentle nod and sweet smile when he passed by at church.
Rest in Peace Bob.

Bob was a credit to his generation, this community and every organization that he was involved with. Many of the prior posts refer to Bob as a gentleman and it is not overstateing it to say it again. A gentleman he truely was.
To me, Bob Rossi was the example of how the values and morals of the previous generations still have a place, if not a need, in today’s world. He is one man who really earned his wings.
Rest in peace Bob.

There are too few left of the caliber and character of Bob Rossi. Too few left of that great generation. Sadly, now there is one fewer. Too many today would have us believe those days are gone and that what was expected of us in the past is not possible in today’s world. Too many would protest that a man today cannot be what a man was then. Yet all the while there was Bob Rossi, proving them wrong. And he did so not with a furrowed brow but with a wink as a smile.
Forgive me posting twice on this thread. While it felt wrong to do so I thought Bob desereved something more than I wrote earlier.
