1st annual St Patricks Day Parade Gerritsen Beach.
Via the Facebook Invite:
The parade is in honor/memory of my father who was involved with marching bands all his life for the community. We will step off @ 12:00pm Saturday March 13th in front of the VFW hall on Gerritsen Ave. The parade will continue down Gerritsen Ave and end at the Knights of Columbus. All are welcome, we will be assembling at 11:00am.
After the parade we will have a few places to go, The KofC, and the Hibernians hall.

Jim, what a great way to HONOR your Dad. I hope it truley becomes an annual event, and more so wish I could make it back into the Beach for the days events. Good Luck and HOIST A FEW!!!!

BTW…DO any of the Old Timers (45+) remember the Danny Rogers Parades on St Pats Day. As a kid it was what I looked foward to the most on the Day of the Green, until I reached he age of traveling to the City with my friends forthe 5th Ave Parade
