"why isn't there a cop here to give all these cars summonses but only the other guy because I am a good driver" – anyone ever hear those words ot uttered them?
Let the cars stop on Ave X adjacent the park for drop-off and delivery and have the school and/or PTA volunteers escort the children into the school. This suggection will only work if traffic or 61 are there to bang all those special people who think they are exempt. from rules
Summonses and more Summonses – raising the fine to $300 would produce results – more walking, less cars more car pooling.

Go get them Lew, there's no doubt the crime numbers in both the 61 and 63 Pcts, as well as others are will under reported, and so are the accident numbers now that the NYPD has Traffic Stat. Anyone doubts it try reporting a property only traffic accident, maybe your car is parked and it was hit, the line from the 61 will be not to make a report because your insurance will go up and they have no witnesses so they can't investigate it Or a small theft from your LOCKED garage, which is a burglary, they will either not take it again saying your insurance will be notified and rates go up or they'll under report it as a petit larceny
Go get them Lew, we need more Police not less and by not properly reporting and classifing the crime it gives the appearance that crime is down so less cops are needed

It doesn't take a mental giant to know that Bloomberg demands that crime reports be kept down… Many people who attend the property owners meetings have questioned each report made by the 61st. There are always gaps in the crime reports. Coincidence?
