Keyspan Park No Longer Keyspan Park

National Grid, formally known as Keyspan, is dropping the Keyspan from Keyspan Park.

Their original contract/deal, according to the daily news, was supposed to last until 2020 but they ended the deal earlier, with no one talking about how much the split was worth.

What will this mean for the now Nameless Park and Coney Island? Maybe Tracey Real Estate Park? Brooklyn Brewery Park? What about just straight-up Coney Island Stadium?

Here's an idea, how about the obsvious – CYCLONE PARK – but that won't work because there has to be big money for the naming rights. I won't be surpised if it ends up being something that has nothing to do with Brooklyn or baseball

I wonder is that the reason the Cyclones jacked up the ticket prices for this year, because they don't have a name and no money coming in

I agree. I am tired of seeing ball parks named after corporations. Places such as these should be named after the area in which it is in, the team itself, or a prominent figure in sports. Even though I am not a Met fan, I refer to Citi Field as New Shea Stadium. We need to stop the corporatization of our society because it is destroying America.
