What I do believe is that Roll n Roaster took advantage since the customers hand in their receipts to the staff to get their food. No receipts, no proof of sales, and it would seem the PA has no recourse. Also, a typical Tuesday night at Roll n Roaster is not wall-to-wall people. Last time I went there during the week it was pretty dead. For it to be wall-to-wall people, they had to take in quite a sum of money. I am not in PS 222 Parents' Association but I have worked in the one in my children's school and I can say with certainty making $800 per fund raiser is not uncommon. Couple that with the fact that the average meal for the family of four costs more at Roll n Roaster than at McDonald's or Burger King and the amount given to the PA is completely fishy. Roll n Roaster was already rewarded for their "good deed" by a serious uptick in their business for a weekday night. If their reputation took a hit then instead of playing victim they should look into how their own actions brought it about.
