He should give it back & he should answer emails from constituents.

It’s the system that is the problem. Could Gene Berardelli receive any additional help based on the notion that he was an unknown running against a two term incumbent? Probably not. So the CFB exists in part to protect officeholders from any sort of challenge, no matter how weak.

The funny thing is that this has been up over one day and no response. Look back to the discussion on the public bathroom at Seba park, he was posting non-stop answering every little comment. That was days before the election. Now he is elected an “poof” no where to be found. Now Im sure he will say he has been busy, but that was taxpayers money, our money. We deserve some kind of a response and we deserve it promptly. If you are an honest man you shouldnt need to consult with your lawyers and spin doctors….

I am interested in getting involved in politics in Marine Park. Can anyone offer any suggestions in terms of political clubs that I should consider joining?

@, how sad is it that you have to belong to a “political club” in order to get involved in local politics. That’s the problem with this electorial system. Maybe it’s time that Americans woke up and threw out ALL these politicians next election day and elect new ones. We couldn’t do any worse than with the ones we have.

I used to like Lew but then I tried contacting him. Back in September I sent him an email which he acknowledged receiving by requesting my address and phone number but never replied to. I sent it to him again and left him messages on here indicating that he never replied to me. His answer on here was to resend it. Wouldn’t you (or your staff) go through every one of your emails to find one from someone named Kate? I have subsequently sent him 3 emails and still nothing – not even acknowledgement.

I’ve gotten no replies from any of the politicians in the area…maybe they all go on vacation from election day until the new year?

“Allow enough time to go by and the people will forget you had your hands in their pockets”.: The $ 88,500 Lew Fidler needed from public funds for his campaign (which he was able to run because he voted down term limits) would pay for the installation of one traffic light on Gerritsen Avenue. How about it Lew? Give the money back with the stipulation it be used for a traffic signal at Seba Avenue and we will petition to have the crosswalk to the park named: “Lew Fidler Crosswalk”.

We have not heard much from “silent Lew” since that election. He was on this site all the time preceding the election. My guess is eating $85000 worth of cheesburgers is taking up all of his time, & keeping his typing hands busy..
