I believe they wanted to improve the avenue by making themselves two beautiful offices. They needed larger offices and more space. I’m sure they have plans for the old office. Doreen is a Real Estate Broker.

I don’t think the department of buildings would let you live in Commercial Office space. I believe its against the law. I think she is the only Real Estate Broker that was brought up in Gerritsen Beach that stayed to do business in Gerritsen. Who knows Gerritsen better than someone that lived in Gerritsen as a child.

Jeez,,,just came by to wish Doreen the best of luck….I am very sad, but mostly disgusted at the private anonymous postings. Where does anyone have a right to hurt, desparage, or malign one’s character as this??
Doreen and Joel, were and are, dear freinds of mine. Doreen is a great humanitarian as well as an easy going, funfilled lady. She is a Mom and a Grandmom, and her family lives in Gerritsen.
I say to the angry, ill-mannered blogging, talking heads out there, if you choose to remain “covert”, your ‘angry’ energy, would be better well spent, fighting the Taliban… Really. Gerritsen’s a great neighborhood. As are its people. So worry about the real problems in the area.
