It is an eyeglass manufacturing company. They use the rear of the building to come & go. That is why the front looks abandoned and closed. I'm not sure about the two end stores, Hy Friedman & the vidoe store, but the building in between, the old furniture store, is where the eyeglass factory is. @Lizi, Believe it or not, that building presently houses an active business.
