If you attend Gerrittsen Beach Property Owners meetings on the 1st Wednesday of each month, you will find that the issue of ‘flooding’ on the Courts, Avenues and Places in Gerritsen Beach is being addressed at those evening meetings. The next meeting starts at 7:30 pm on Wed. July 1st, and will be held at the usual place, St. James Church basement, on Gerritsen Ave., between Florence & Gotham Avenues. Our Representatives, or someone from their office is always in attendance, to take the community messages, needs, and concerns, back to City Council, Albany, and to the departments to be notified. Theresa Scavo, Chairperson of Community Board 15 also attends our meetings. Her attendance is an asset for our community. Refer to the GBPOA meeting at which Lew Fidler spoke to the matter of flooding on Frank Ct. We have also compiled a list of over a dozen trouble spots to be addressed. Last, but not least, this website is only ‘negative’ to those who anonymously attempt to define it as such. There are those who would censor this website (and other websites, and ‘talk radio’). The day that happens, we are all in serious trouble. If you don’t like what you hear on a radio program, you turn the dial or shut it off. The same can be done for a website.
