Coming in via email:
There has been a bunch of activity at the Lacon court property at the ends of Devon Avenue and Everett Avenue.
A bunch of new trailers are now in there, but they are clearing out the land, ripping out tree stumps.
We here at GerritsenBeach.net know EXACTLY whats going on we are in mid-stream of writing up whats going on there. Stay Tuned…

FYI,
Calcium chloirde, “rock salt”, ruins the chemical bond of curing concrete and is relatively cheap. Maybe once the footing forms go in someone should dump a few bags into the forms or even better into the wet concrete. Let them have to dig it back up and redo it.

@Johnny Walker,
Please keep us informed about that. If that is correct it would be amazing news.
And F.Y.I Tyler rock salt is Sodium Chloirde and yes that would work. Clacium chloride is the non-salt ice melt and would not affect curing concrete.

The trailer pictured is the temporary headquarters for a group that may have received a non-profit status, and possibly ‘grant money’ to engage in the removal of sunken boats and the correcting of environmental issues. e.g. removal of the toxic docks on SSJ Development properties. As an Environmental Task Force, they may have already limited their effectiveness to this community by accepting favorable monetary privileges from SSJ Development. More on that supposition to follow.
