It doesn’t take much to “love Gerritsen Beach.”
It doesn’t especially if you live in the Beach and visit other surrounding communities and see what the results are when there is little or no populace willing to take on the responsibility of leadership, dedication and pride in their community.
My compliments to all the people who donate their time, energy and resources with the sole purpose of making Gerritsen Beach a better place to live. Bravo!!!!!

I agree that it doesn’t take much to love Gerrittsen Beach, but the question is about loving GerrittsenBeach.net. I think for the most part its great, although sometimes people just get nasty and it gives outsiders and haters an opportunity to jab at us I think that what George is refering to is the recent trouble caused by GB.net to GB Cares. I’m sure in hindsight the admin knows that it could have been handled better. All in all, just being able to see a meeting that so many people, like myself, desire to attend but can’t for whatever reason makes me love it.

As long as the site reports the facts truthfully and fairly then noone will have a legit reason to gripe. That truth may upset people but thats what reporting does. It’s a blog after all. People will comment on what they will comment on and say what they will. Comments on past stories that were untrue upset me very much but I realized that the fault lies in the commentator not the site.
Like Beachwalker said the page offers those a chance to watch meeting that one may not be able to attend.
