Looks like Parks stepped up in “closing” part of the skate park. They stopped using the magic yellow tape that keeps kids out, now they are using steel and chains.
More information on the repair around April 15th, when Lew Fidler is having a meeting to discuss among other things, seba avenue park, with parks department.
With all the construction that goes on in the beach it is pretty sad that noone could fix these four steps . Now you have this metal gating where a person could crash into and be seriously injured .

It will be fixed. I am sure that the repair is not as simple as you made it sound. Fortunately, it is not as extensive—so it would appear—as originally thought. But Parks needs to be given the money to fix it. The city is self-insured, so the City has to pay for this disgusting act of vandalism. Be patient.

that barracade is not too much of a big deal, no one ever skates those stairs anyway. but a repair would be nice, we all dont want the park to look like crap. new editions to the park would be cool too. a ledge? that would be awsome.
