If they can’t even maintain a decent fence, one can only imagine what the buildings there would have been like. Thankfully, it looks like that will never happen. Whatever the reason.

They should fix this soon – there was a construction site years ago on Cyrus & Beacon and all the plywood fencing was blown down and left there for weeks – my son wound up getting hurt there and required surgery on a broken thumb – it could have been a lot worse, and they’d better take care of it before someone gets hurt there.

This was something I was warned the Property Owners Association about over a year ago. This location along with one in the Beach and one in Bergen Beach are, I believe, owned by the same person or corporation. This along with many other unsightly building sites throughout the city must be addressed by our city leaders. A major undertaking is necessary by the city to correct an unsightly, and in many cases, dangerous situation we as property owners will have to endure. It may be necessary for the city to come in and do necessary repairs to ensure the health and safety
of the surrounding community. The city could later pursue the owners of the properties by fining them or putting a lien on their properties and last resort auction off their property for failure to pay summonses. If nothing is done this situation will only get worse.
