2261 Bragg Street wants to put up a 7 story vertical extension to their existing 3 story building(above).
There was a public hearing Monday, October 27th 7:00 but
- Zoning Committee: YES: 4 NO: 12 – Not Recommended to CB15
- CB15: YES: 13 NO: 22 – Not Recommended to BSA
YES voters: Cathy Blundell, Raisa Chernina, Dr. Alan Ditchek (V. Chair), Edmond Dweck, Henni Fisher, William Glassman, Rabbi Eli Greenwald, Morris Harary, Dr. Herb Hedetsky, Al Smaldone, Mitchell Shpelfogel, Leonard Simon.
It now moves on to the BSA (Board of Standards and Appeals), to be approved or not.
So the BSA can approve it despite opposition from CB and zoning committee?

CB’s are only good to rubber stamp what the Councilmember wants, they don’t really have concrete says on what happens in a community. I know this to be a fact AT CB13. If the Councilmember gives the go ahead to the BSA, the building will be built,no matter how the CB voted.

Community Boards only give advisory decisions to the BSA on zoning items – the BSA has the final say. I guess they have a committee to go through applications, and the committee recommends to the Board as a whole what it should do…
