Remember way back in June when civil rights died in Manhattan Beach? Yeah, I really don’t remember either but either way, there is an update to the story.
To quickly recap, On senior cut day in June cops were turning kids away from Manhattan Beach and sending them elsewhere, Gene Beradelli, Sheepshead Bay/Plumb Beach Civic’s attorney saw this and attempted to escort kids that were turned away into the beach, and was briefly arrested for disorderly conduct and giving a court date
It turns out that Gene Berardelli’s case was dismissed and he never had to see a day in court. What does that say about the arrest?
Not getting his day in Court may save him a hassle but also avoids a public hearing of the inappropriate behavior of individual officers and/or their commanders. Too bad, Mr. Berardelli seem like the type of guy who would have made good use of the forum of the courtroom.

i got a summons for the same reason back in 2003 they all get thrown out when you get to court its just another way the city has you us your time and take a day off from work so thats the way it hurts you, trust me from first had. and another thing we should not be on his side he tryed to bring kids back on the beach after the cops told them to go back to school what if it was kiddie beach you know dam well we all dont need that running around, police in one way are friends to gerritsen
