I'm not exactly sure why cablevision created it - perhaps to make it seem like they had more local news to offer its viewers. I'm glad its giving some college kids tv experience and giving a few people jobs. Its really not much to watch though. I live in sheepshead bay, near where they are located, and I often flip by it and see shots from my area as backdrops -- I assume they are just too lazy to go elsewhere. They used to park in the back corner, but they now park closer to the entrance/exit. They are all young too. When I complained to one of their reporters that they should park in the back where they used to, he just shrugged. Thay are so mickey mouse the reporter and camera person are the same person. They set the camera up on a tripod and stand in front of it. They probably only make a little more then the workers of Stop and Shop. New York 1 looks like CNN compared to them.
