The only parking spot that you own is in your own driveway. What I find inconsiderate is people who take up two spaces at a time. sometimes it is hard to judge when you are in the car. Many times I’ve got out of the car and seen that if I move up or back a little another car could fit. So out of courtesy for the next person I get back in the car and move .It only takes a few seconds.

Ya I live on Brigham St. you try talking to everybody on the block. No one on my block really cares if you talk to them about a spot. There NOT going to leave it open for you because you say it’s yours. Parking is very hard on my block ok. And if a spot is open well pretty much your lucky if you can get it befor some one else does. If it works on your small block well that’s great for you! Don’t talk for anybody else.
I might have yelled to express a point because you can’t read correctley. But look who’s calling people names. Conversation over. Because obv there’s no talking to somebody like you.

Although I like to park in front of my house, it is not always gonna happen, I am only here a few years but my neighbors and I are pretty respectful of each other, but of course druing the holidays and when someone is having a party, things arent gonna be perfect. I lived in bay ridge and park slope prior and if you think parking in front of your house is nice, try just being happy to park within 10 blocks of your house. So why dont we worry about more important things than parking spaces

isnt there a (mandatory) 5 year waiting list for your spot?, at least thats the way it was when i lived on lois avenue, and yes people used to block my driveway all the time…

Park in front of your house and be courtious, two weeks ago a guest of my neighbor parked in my spot which forced me to park on Lois ave, My care was broken into and I lost a couple thousand $$ in property, since then I refuse to park anywhere other than in front of my own house where I have been for the past 2 years.

June 27 8:55am…Still showing your an arrogant ass with the YELLING. Read my post again… I don’t own the street I just know how to be considerate. If you talk with your neighbors and work out a parking scheme (a practice in the area for 40 + years) there wont be any problems and eveyone will be able to park. Consideration should be given to the residents of the block especially if parking is limited, this is common sense…the “ME” mentality is what is killing a great neighborhood.

People, people it’s a city street. Nobody own a parking spot.
Weather you live there or not. If you own a car you pay your dues to park on the street.

Hay June 25 11:11am Get it stright who ever you are. ok If the spot is open I WILL TAKE IT. And I do have consideration for others I take up one spot and NEVER block someones drive way. I pay to have my car on the street to. And there is no bickering. Try reading the coment again. Obv you don’t comprehend very well. Nobody said anything about arguing with my neighbors!! But if the spot is open I WILL TAKE IT. WHO said you owned the street??? TRY READING WHAT I SAID THE 1ST TIME!!!!!!

There is no winning here….if you move your car around the block your friend over there cares, if you leave your car too long on your own block your next door buddy comments. the best bet is don’t be rude & park in one spot all week. these are public streets & it is 1st come 1st served. There is NO RESERVED PARKING on NYC streets. I don’t care how long you or your father hogged this space, if it is in the street, it is fair game. Drop the bully mentality & realize this is 2008.
