An arrest was made in the good shepherd mugging and was confirmed by Brooklyn chief john fox.
Cops say Eric Ferguson, 18, is the punk caught on a surveillance camera yesterday in front of the Good Shepherd School in Sheepshead Bay viciously attacking beloved computer science teacher Patricia McGowan, 62.
Ferguson, who police say has a record, was picked up in his Avenue Z home and police said McGowan’s 2000 Toyota Corolla was nearby.
Let’s see if I have this right. The police say that the alleged criminal they apprehended targeted elderly white women at bus stops and chinese food delivery persons. Everybody repeat after me: HATE CRIMES HATE CRIMES HATE CRIMES. There should be no hesitation by the Brooklyn D.A. in making this decision as it is always brought into play when the roles are reversed. After that, he should be charged with civil rights violations for disrupting the daily lives of these law abiding, hard working individuals, and for good measure they should pour on a few civil lawsuits to ruin his life as he ruined theirs. Kudos once again to the NYPD for making our community a little safer than it was yesterday. Keep up the good work.

As the owner of the security company that installed the Good Shepherd surveillance systems, I am delighted that a suspect has been arrested. I was shocked while I viewed this video and produced the disk for the police. I hope that the community will now see the value in these security systems. Maybe those who have raised concerns regarding privacy, can now see the importance of good video surveillance.
