Yes, it was still open, believe it or not.
To answer the board question about the merge - it is true that the Karate place is taking over Jim’s and expanding.
Jim’s final night is Saturday the 17th. End of an era.

Will they be collecting the library cards from all the kiddies on closing night? Good ridance to an eyesore and a dump.

That place was a dive. They should have closed that place years ago, Now lets get rid of another one (need I mention which )

If you get rid of the “other one” (we all know which one), they will scatter like roaches to other respectable places.

What the heck is Jims marine Inn?, that abandoned looking building between the karate place and the dance studio? If it was ever open, maybe they should have let someone know.

To each his own. Good times had by plenty. Great times had by many. As of 96 they were no longer taking library cards. Bus passes or confirmation certificates. It will be a fun night. Try and have fun Sat night with whatever you do.

I remember when it was Hoban’s Tavern. It was considered an old mans bar. I even recall having a beer in there with a friend.

mackens (or mackins?) was the younger hipper bar, and the park tavern was the older mans bar, along with hobans!
