lol nice try doktormom after reading 70+ comments its easy to see you wrote this . 70+ comments and you were the only one to make fun of this kids writing skills . You are an adult and should have been the bigger person . You should be ashamed of your self ! I work with children and never make fun of their mistakes! There are also tons of jobs that dont have the need for writing skills.. “A society can’t sustain itself with no one doing the work that keeps it moving. ” people with poor english skills are great home builders , city workers who need no education for employment (except cops who need 60 credits no degree required) ,ect . refering to your quote society needs these people to but you fail to relize that . I bet you lack many of the skills that people have who cannot write well . Many people from my family came over to the us from italy in the 70s and made a ton of money from their skills at home renovation. Who are you going to call to fix you house a teacher ? many of my family members only had a 5th grade education but they were smart in other ways and by the way they made a lot more money then those teachers, ect who can write well!

anyway i drive by this house all the time to visit my friends and i still see its unfinished mybe everyone was better off not reporting them for every little thing although not ideal the block will look much better with a finished home on it then what it looks like now rotting wood no mater what this home is gonna be built your just delaying it

i know the way i write is horrible but it has nothing to do with what were talking about so this time can we leave it out of the conversation lol writeing my papers for my a.a then b.a was hard enough for me i always relied on spell check and help from teachers i got threw on my test grades mostly and except for english they never took much of any points off because of it now im working on my masters

looking at the dates it has been years that we have been talking about this house already id like two see it finished already till next time

Dorothy, I grew up in Boro Park and spent half my life in an Orthodox community. My perceptions are born of experience. Maybe your family raised you to be tolerant of all but you don't speak for all Jewish people. To this day I remember playing in front of my house and having the cross ripped from neck and thrown on the ground by a "tolerant" cheder boy.

As far as civic associations, both exist in the Midwood & Boro Park neighborhoods and always have. When Orthodox families began to move into the community, it would have been very easy to ask the real estate agent, Lew Fidler's office or a neighbor about community organizations but they chose to start their own to address only their needs. My neighbors have yet to shovel the walk on a snowy day or sweep the papers that blow in front of their house. They never acknowledge my holidays, though I have always recognized theirs.
