Today there was a bomb threat over at Sheepshead Bay High School (3000 Avenue X Brooklyn, NY). All of the students were in the streets surrounding the school waiting to either get back in to get their items left behind or finishing whatever classes they had.
Everyone was evacuated at 1:52 p.m. and let back into the building around 3:10
It looks like Sheepshead Bay High School won’t be leaving the Department of Education Impact list anytime soon.
Oh how Sheepshead has matured, its not just shootings and mace bombs anymore. I’m sure one of the highly educated students called it in so he/she wouldn’t have to take a spelling test.

I graduated from there myself, though quite some time ago, and we or should I say they, pulled many a stunt to get out of class… it warms my heart to see that rambunctious behavior is alive and well….
All kidding aside, it sucks that this crap goes on…. At that age they are pretty loose lipped so it should not be long before the cops get a handle on the caller….

hey, I go to that school right now, I’m a senior and despite what u shitheads think….. Sheepshead Bay is an awesome school, like any other school, we have our ups and downs…. so don’t even think about putting us down, no one ever sees the good things that happens there, but the minute something terrible happens; everyone has something to say. So screw all of you, we have graduates that are accepted by Harvard and Cornell, like myself. So don’t for a second think that we need your criticism or your sympathy, because we don’t. I am a fresshman at sheepshead bay…. i have a sister that is a senior (alison) I LOVE SHEEPSHEAD BAy….. and as one person said…sheepshead has its ups and downs….but dont you dare talk us down….cause sheepshead is a great school…it just some of the messed up kids in it that mess it up at times…. and dont say no negative crap if you havent even been in sheepshead..cuz u dont know da school so u shouldnt say nuttin and just shut ur mouth…retards…

yea am a freshmen also am new 2 Sheepshead bay .but before i came 2 this school i hured so many thing about this school that i was worred 2 come. but when that day came it was not bad at all. nothing happened.i made many new firends in side the school i met some fantastic teachers!=] and some that i dislike very much. also am soo proud of ma boys that r ma insperason 2 keep on going so i can graduated 2 from this school =] mozes/Jean….keep on going and dont stop till u hit ur star.!love:

Kate, they have a wonderful thing called spell check nowadays, fluency in a language is no excuse anymore. I dont speak french fluently yet I have been able to type letters to friends in France with the use of spell check.
That comment from nancy only serves to show us how lacking the educational system is in this city. That comment should be brought to the schools principal to show just how deficient that school is.

I’m a freshman in Sheepshead and will be a sophomore in this upcoming year and I hate it. Sheepshead is the worse school ever and I’m glad that I am leaving the school. We had 2 bomb threats and it was fun because we get to go home early.

Its good when schools have bomb threats once in awhile so that the admin and everyone else can see how completely unprepared they are for a real emergency. Someone told me that last year Marine Park JHS had a one and that it took 25 minutes from time the call came in to get their heads out of their asses and sound the alarm. Seems no one knew what to do. When they got the kids outside,they had them standing in front of and across the street from the building,until someone with half a brain informed the dumb-ass principal that this would not be the best place for everyone to be standing if a real bomb were to go off. At that point they started to move the kids away from the danger. Had there been a real bomb, there would have been a great deal of carnage. Nice to know how absolutly unprepared they are in this day and age. And for all the Sheepshead students who wrote in- you only have to learn one thing and thats how to say “you want fries with that?”

I went to SheepShead also, graduated 2007. I can respectively say that the school is not a bad school at all. They have teachers their who has their phd such as, Dr. St Juste. Dr. Jones. My point is that, the students who are menace to SSBHS needs to be removed. They’re like bombs when let off it destroys everything in its path.

Sheepshead bay high school isn’t a bad school. Half of the people on here are falsely accusing our school of being this dangerous school when it’s not. Most of you probably don’t even go to our school. You can’t just judge a book by it’s cover like that without experiencing life as a sheepshead bay student. When you just listen to the rumors you don’t give stuff a chance and that’s why so many people disregard this school’s needs. Most student’s in sheepshead aren’t even encourage to stay in school and if they “supposedly” were we wouldn’t have such low graduation rates. And when it comes to this bomb threat, how do you know it wasn’t a call from someone who despises sheepshead like half of you guys on here?? I mean sure some students would rather not be in class but on that particular day it was pretty cold and no one really wanted to be outside. ( I was there that day of the threat). In my opinion no student would actually go through such drastic measure’s just to get out of school. I mean were not going to put our school careers on the line for that. And how is it even possible that someone that was inside the school make that call if our school has scanner’s and were not allowed to bring phone’s into the school?? So think before you speak people
