Mill Basin Shopping Center Catches Fire

On Sunday March 2 some stores in the Mill Basin Shopping Center caught fire including: La Villa, the Dry Cleaners, and Asian Fusion.

There were notes left on the Dry Cleaners and La Villa

    Too bad, Lavilla was a great place to bring family to eat out.

    I’m sorry to hear it. Of all the store, Stage Cards is the only one I think is an original store from when the center was built. I can remember back in the late 1950s and early 1960s buying my comic books there. There used to be a different Chinese restaurant where Asian fusion was, and I think half of Lavilla was a pizza place.
