I think that the house loooks beautiful,also it gives the owner lots more bedroom space. The bedroom must look beautiful on the inside unless they are typical Gerritsen beach that start a project and not finish.

I call this one of the new “selfish houses”. Please notice how part of this new construction cuts off the view and breeze from the house next to it, not to mention causing a security problem for the next door neighbors. What bothers me most is how the newcomer just goes about his business of creating a house for himself without considering his neighbor.

There can’t be THAT much more space inside to make this worth all the work. Besides, they’re trying to cram too many things into one tiny, attatched house. Putting asthetics aside, how can this house possibly pass inspection? It breaks SO many of the zoning codes, it’s unbelieveable!

thats not nice people are spending alot of money and then someone is going 2 ruin it just because it doesnt fit in? i walked down by the one on allen and the owners are very nice people. some people pushed the little lions off and caused one of them to break.how would u feel if u spent Your hard earned money on something and people want to destroy it.

Mike- no one here said anything about destroying it because it doesn’t fit in. Who ever vandalized their lions should be arrested for vandalism! But just because someone is putting a lot of work and money into something, doesn’t mean everyone else has to like it! And yes, I think the Russian comment was unneccesary. It is childish to bring people’s possible ethnic backgrounds into it.

This is across the street from me. They probably are Russian, as Russians moved in nextdoor to me recently and are building a monstrosity. You cant even get any sunlight in my backyard anymore. I hate it.
