The Police Athletic League (PAL) is New York City’s largest, nonprofit, independent youth organization. Founded in 1914, PAL serves 70,000 New York City boys and girls each year with recreational, educational, cultural and social programs. PAL is the official youth agency of the New York Police Department.Located throughout the five boroughs, particularly in some of the city’s neediest neighborhoods, PAL Centers are a home away from home for young people in need of safe, supportive environments. PAL Centers are oases in their communities and stand as proof of PAL’s long-term commitment to helping New York City’s children.
PAL provides after-school programs at full-time and part-time locations throughout the city. Programs include homework help, sports, arts and crafts, music and dance and much more. Hours and days of operation vary for each location. For more specific information contact tseward@palnyc.org
