[Behind Mandee's on Avenue U and Nostrand Avenue. In the Duane Reade parking lot.]
There had to be about a 1,000 old school CRT monitors in this tremendous mound. You could totally climb to the top and feel safe, whoever stacked these stacked them so they were all solid.
As Dr. Venkman would say: “No human being would stack books monitors like this.”

One of my favorite lines from Ghostbusters! I love it!
[Any flatscreens in there?]

I thought I was in computer scavenger heaven, but alas, they cut the power cords and the vga cable. Damn shame, I had some spare dual head video cards i was looking to put in place.
Bastards!

I hope they recycle them properly instead of sticking them in the landfill – monitors have lots of toxic stuff in them.
Yeah, it would have been scavenger heaven….
If you need computer parts, though, try strolling through Park Slope this time of year – I lived there for 14 years and always, with perfect luck, found a totally functional monitor/keyboard/mouse on the sidewalk right around the time the one I’d been using bit the dust. I even found a laptop once. (Spoiled yuppies just put their stuff out on the curb when they upgrade to the newer, fancier model).

Their surveillance is a bit excessive.
