State Senator Marty Golden held his annual 9/11 ceremony in Marine Park. A good sized crowd showed up despite the threat of rain and the sun did end up breaking through later in the ceremony which worked out in favor of the crowd.
The United State Marine Corps 6th Communication Battalion was there to play Taps and to present the colors. Sgt. Louis Licalzi sang a nice rendition of You Raised Me Up and Gold Bless the USA.
On the dais was Marty Golden, Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes, Alan Maisel, Ed Fishman, and Theresa Scavo
