Today was interesting, we were interviewed by both channel 9 and 5 about this site and Dr Biondos suggested items for his community public beach.
There was a large police presence in and outside Manhattan Beach. Around 10 uniformed officers, a couple of white shirted officers, and a large Patrol Borough Brooklyn South Van. We also saw police officers from the 60th precinct who were there patrolling, which Manhattan Beach isn’t part of their precinct.
Patrol Borough Brooklyn South has both the 60th and 61st Precincts in it and the two are right next to each other. It is not uncommon to see vehicles and officers from other precincts in another precinct in the same command. Given what is going on there, it seems like the commander is just redeploying resources within his command to where they are needed.

My daughter attends HS @KCC, last week she was coming home from school on the B49 bus. A large group of young people got on the bus, as she reports they were very loud and out of control. She sat minding her business only to have CONDOMS full of what we hope to be lotion thrown at her. The bus driver had no control of the situation. The out of control youth that use the area beaches are destroying the quality of life for everyone. Something needs to be done.

Yes, something might need to be done, but to suggest privatizing a public beach is a little far reaching.
Maybe you could ask for more of a police presence in the area instead.
Crime across the 61st precinct is down since the new captain, I don’t know the number offhand but it was significant drop.
How many residents of Gerritsen, Marine Park and surrounding area spend time each summer at Breezy Point? What is it that makes Breezy Point?
The fact that it is Private is what makes it such.

Breezy wasn’t a public beach.
You cant just take a public beach and turn it private becuase of a few people.
I own the back weeds. The mosquitoes and possum are dragging down my quality of life.
- If it was February we wouldn’t be hearing any of this horse shit.
-Some might argue that residents of Manhattan Beach are dragging down the quality of life in Sheepshead.
- It’s all relative, if the kids are wildn’ out have a couple cops throw 100+ dollar tickets around and the word will spread fast. When was the last time you chanced a hydrant.
-How bout Manhattan Beach Cares?
Instead of cops they should have called a Waaambulance.
